The crystals you know and love were dreamed up by Daniel Swarovski, a man from Austria who wanted to make crystals more accessible by offering them the quality of a “diamond for everyone”.
Thus, in 1892, Daniel Swarovski patented an electric machine that allowed the cutting of crystals with more precision than could be achieved by hand. Three years later, he founded the Swarovski company in Wattens, a small town in the Austrian Alps, giving birth to the current Swarovski brand now present in over 170 countries.
The company designs, manufactures and markets high-quality crystals as well as finished products such as jewelry, accessories and interior products. Swarovski is a unified and culturally relevant luxury brand that becomes a lifestyle and gives people the confidence to express themselves boldly.
